A new AI system in Dubai for precise monitoring of 7,200 vehicles to ensure compliance and safety
The new AI system will track school buses, taxis, limousines, commercial buses, and motorcycles
In Dubai, a new system introduced by the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) is employing Artificial Intelligence to monitor up to 7,200 vehicles, encompassing school buses, taxis, limousines, commercial buses, and motorcycles. This innovative system not only tracks vehicle routes but also scrutinizes driver behavior and adherence to guidelines.
The fleet under this system comprises 5,200 taxis, 1,000 school buses, 400 limousines, 1,000 commercial buses, and 600 delivery motorbikes. Specifically, the AI system plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and punctuality of 1,000 school buses by monitoring trips, student details, driver conduct, and providing immediate alerts as needed.
Furthermore, the AI Control Centre supervises the operations of 5,200 taxis, guaranteeing 24/7 service availability, supporting drivers, guiding them to high-demand areas, assessing vehicle movement efficiency, and analyzing data to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
Ammar Al Braiki, Director of Fleet Operations at DTC, emphasizes their commitment to showcasing the control center's efforts and educating the public about the role of DTC in leveraging technology and smart systems for monitoring and tracking these 7,200 vehicles. DTC is actively pursuing automated expansion, engaging in big data analysis, and utilizing smart systems to deliver world-class transportation services while prioritizing safety.
