Abu Dhabi Customs is set to introduce an advanced robot at Abu Dhabi Airport, designed to enhance airport customs procedures. The robot, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), can read body language and recognize faces, aiding customs officers in efficiently collecting comprehensive traveler information.

This innovative technology can assess the body language and facial expressions of a group of up to seven individuals simultaneously, even from a distance of six meters, streamlining customs processes and improving travelers' experiences. Furthermore, the integrated AI system allows the robot to interact with travelers in their preferred language, answer questions, and provide assistance, including helping passengers with cash disclosures via the Tam platform.

Equipped with advanced cameras and sensors, the robot can also gauge travelers' satisfaction, determine gender, and estimate age, ushering in a new era of customs operations with potential expansion into goods clearance for even greater efficiency.
