The new version of the Jais model enhances its performance in a variety of content generation and summarization tasks, as well as in translation between Arabic and English languages

Core 42, a subsidiary of the G42 Group based in the United Arab Emirates and a leading provider of digital transformation consulting, has announced the launch of Jais 30B, the latest and most efficient version of its open-source large language model for the Arabic language. This new release is based on a 30 billion-token model and follows the previous model released by the company in August, which had 13 billion tokens. Core 42's commitment is to provide a rich and culturally oriented generative artificial intelligence experience for over 400 million Arabic speakers worldwide.

The development of the Jais model is a result of collaboration between Inception, the artificial intelligence center of the G42 Group, Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, the world's first research institution dedicated to AI studies, and Cybexer Systems, which quickly set new standards in the field of large language models for the Arabic language upon its launch. The model was trained using the Condor Galaxy-1, one of the world's fastest AI-powered supercomputers, with a capacity of up to 4 exaflops (quadrillions of calculations per second), featuring 54 million cores and 64 nodes, developed through a partnership between G42 Group and Cybexer Systems.
