Egyptian AI startup Intella secured $3.4 million in funding from Saudi investors

In a notable development for Saudi Arabia's tech sector, Egyptian tech firm Intella has secured $3.4 million in a pre-series A funding round, with leading participation from Saudi-based HALA Ventures and Wa’ed Ventures, the venture arm of Aramco.
This substantial investment is poised to expedite Intella's expansion into the Saudi market and bolster the development of AI models tailored specifically for the Middle East and North Africa region.
In its pursuit of technological excellence, Intella's Voice system achieved an impressive 95.73 percent accuracy rate following extensive testing involving 30,000 hours of Arabic audio, surpassing industry giants like Google.
Omar Mansour, Intella's co-founder and chief technology officer, emphasized their focus on Arabic-centric voice technology and advanced audio analytics. As Intella aims to lead the way in Arabic voice technology, this funding brings them closer to their goal of aligning the MENA region with global tech advancements.
