Here are the steps to enable and use Custom Instructions on the web for ChatGPT:

1- Log in and Access Settings:

- Visit chat.openai.com and log in to your account.

- Click the 'three-dot menu' icon located in the side panel next to your email address.

- Select 'Settings & Beta' from the menu.

2- Access Beta Features:

- In the opened Settings overlay panel, navigate to 'Beta features' in the left sidebar.

3- Enable Custom Instructions:

- Find and enable the toggle switch labeled 'Custom instructions' within the Beta features section.

4- Access Custom Instructions:

- Close the settings panel and once again click the 'three-dot menu' icon.

- Look for the new option 'Custom instructions' in the menu and click on it.

5- Enter Custom Instructions:

- The custom instructions panel will open.

- Enter your personalized instructions for ChatGPT.

- Start by providing information about yourself in the section titled 'What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses?'. If unsure, click 'Show tips' for guidance.

- Tips include sharing details about your location, work, interests, favorite topics, or goals – anything that will help ChatGPT converse better with you. You have a character limit of 1500.

6- Specify AI Responses:

- Respond to the question 'How would you like ChatGPT to respond?' using up to 1500 characters.

- You can indicate the desired tone (formal, casual), length of responses, preferred addressing, and whether the AI should express opinions or remain neutral on topics.

Remember that you can edit or delete these custom instructions at any time.
