Keychain, a platform that helps brands find manufacturing partners, secured $18 million in funding
The platfrom seeks to use AI to help brands find manufacturing partners
Manufacturing platform Keychain has announced a successful $18 million seed round. Founded by Jordan Weitz, Umang Dua, and Oisin Hanrahan, who previously co-founded the home software company Handy and later worked their way up at Angi, the platform aims to leverage artificial intelligence to assist brands in finding suitable manufacturing partners.
Hanrahan highlighted the challenge for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies in finding the right manufacturing partners and emphasized Keychain's goal of streamlining this process, potentially unlocking innovation and resulting in healthier and more affordable products on store shelves. The platform plans to create a marketplace connecting over 10,000 manufacturers with brands and retailers.
Keychain's invite-only product will open to select retailers and brands in the coming year, with plans to expand beyond matchmaking to assist businesses with the entire manufacturing process, including sourcing, onboarding, and compliance after its Q1 2024 launch.
