Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and global technology group e& have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during COP28 UAE. This MoU aims to solidify the UAE's position as a center of AI innovation by collaborating on AI human capacity building, industry-specific projects, venture capital funding for AI startups, and more. The agreement will also support e& in sourcing and training AI talent through MBZUAI's Executive Program (MEP) and accelerate AI adoption for practical applications.

MBZUAI and e& will work together on research projects, co-develop use cases, and joint solutions to advance AI adoption. They intend to empower AI startups, enhance AI skills, and build a stronger AI ecosystem in the UAE and the wider region. Furthermore, MBZUAI will help foster a startup ecosystem by facilitating venture capital investment for AI innovation with a focus on sustainability.
