The challenges arising from unethical uses of AI were discussed

The Advisory Board for Artificial Intelligence, affiliated with the United Nations, held its meeting in New York, USA, which included 38 members from various countries, with the participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia participated in this meeting through a member of the Shura Council, Ms. Latifa bint Mohammed Al-Abdulkarim, in addition to a delegation from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, "SDAIA," as reported by the Saudi Press Agency "SPA" on Saturday.

The meeting addressed the debate surrounding the adoption of AI technologies and highlighted the challenges arising from their improper use, as well as discussing the mechanisms for governing artificial intelligence at both national and global levels.

It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organized a consultation session during the Global AI Summit in 2020, hosted by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority "SDAIA," regarding the establishment of this advisory board affiliated with the United Nations specializing in the field of AI,
