The representative of "SDAIA" highlighted the importance of applying principles and ethics during the use of AI
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) participated in the 217th session of the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), held in Paris, France, with the presence of member state representatives. During the event, SDAIA presented a resolution to support UNESCO's efforts in the field of artificial intelligence ethics, emphasizing the importance of applying principles and ethics of AI in light of the rapid developments and widespread adoption of this technology.
It is worth noting that SDAIA launched the principles of AI ethics during the Second Global Artificial Intelligence Summit in Riyadh in 2022, demonstrating strong support for the Kingdom's efforts in research, awareness, and international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence ethics. Additionally, the establishment of the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics in Riyadh was announced to further enhance these efforts and provide the necessary support for research and communication on this important topic.
