On Friday, Europe reached a provisional deal on landmark AI regulations within the EU

The European Union has reached a unique global regulatory law for the field of AI after three days of intense negotiations between member states and the European Parliament. This decision came after the French Commissioner for Digital Affairs, Thierry Breton, confirmed the existence of a "political agreement" on legislation aimed at promoting innovation in advanced technologies while limiting potential misuse.

Thanks to this law, the European Union has become the first continent to establish clear rules for the use of artificial intelligence, and this legislation is considered a launching platform for startups and researchers in the European Union to lead global advancements in artificial intelligence.

This agreement comes in the context of rapid technological development, as the "ChatGPT" program was launched in late 2022 as an advanced artificial intelligence model; however, these technologies raise concerns about their potential misuse.
