The Knowledge Summit 2023 concluded its series of in-person sessions at the Dubai World Trade Center from November 21 to 22 of this year. One of the main sessions titled "Artificial Intelligence in Media: Crafting Authentic and Tailored Experiences" featured prominent speakers such as Elie Habib, co-founder and CEO of technology at Anghami, Fares Akkad, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at Meta, and Dr. Jana Bou Reslan, a motivational speaker, lecturer, trainer, and content creator on TikTok. The session was moderated by Maya Hajjaj, the economics anchor for Bloomberg in the Middle East.

Elie Habib explained how AI utilizes data analysis to understand the needs and preferences of the audience. Through this analysis, media content can be effectively customized to target specific user groups based on their behavior and preferences, enhancing the user experience positively.

On the other hand, Fares Akkad emphasized the importance of personalized media, which involves tailoring content to the needs and behaviors of online users, thus saving users time and reducing the effort required to find relevant information. He elaborated on how AI can assist in creating specialized media by analyzing user behavior online, determining content consumption patterns, and building a media profile that reflects user expectations and interests.

Regarding security, Fares Akkad highlighted the role of AI in combating misleading and fake information by developing new strategies for detection and processing, including the use of machine learning algorithms to analyze data and detect patterns indicating the presence of such information while filtering it out.
