A specialized surgical training center incorporating AI is set to open at Jaber Hospital in Kuwait
The center will be opened at Jaber Hospital in the coming October.
Dr. Suleiman Al-Muzaydi, the head of the Surgery Department at Jaber Hospital, revealed plans to open a specialized surgical training center in AI at Jaber Hospital in the coming October. He emphasized the importance of using AI in the field of medicine, especially in radiological diagnosis, surgery, and scientific research.
He stressed that AI plays a significant role in reducing medical errors, facilitating surgical procedures, and achieving precise results. This technology has been successfully employed at Jaber Hospital in various specialties, including general surgery.
Modern technologies such as ICG (Indocyanine Green) and robotic devices have also been used in surgeries and endoscopies. Three-dimensional technology with augmented reality has been applied to enhance surgical precision and provide improved internal views of the body.
Notably, AI has excelled in accurately detecting colon and stomach tumors, as well as in streamlining colonoscopy procedures and enhancing clinical outcomes.
In the coming October, a specialized surgical training center in AI will be inaugurated at Jaber Hospital. Equipped with the latest technologies, this center will contribute to the development of skills for doctors and researchers. It will also feature 3D printing equipment and a comprehensive research facility. Additionally, there will be a virtual reality room where doctors can train using the latest techniques and work with multiple medical cases.
