Fitbit launched generative AI features, which include workout recommendations

AI can analyze exercise data and compare it to previous performance

Fitbit has unveiled new generative AI features that promise genuine utility. Fitbit's CEO, James Park, introduced the Pixel Watch 2 and enhancements to the Fitbit app, highlighting upcoming AI features.

These features aim to provide personalized coaching, dynamic workout recommendations, and deeper insights, showcasing the potential of AI in the fitness and health sector. For instance, the AI can analyze exercise data, compare it to past performances, and offer insights, making fitness data more accessible and actionable.

While the redesigned Fitbit app has started to roll out, most users will need to wait until early the following year to access these new AI features. Fitbit plans to introduce them to trusted testers through the Fitbit Labs program, with priority access for Pixel phone owners.
