Mark Zuckerberg announced new AI-powered features for Meta apps

Meta is launching features for editing photos and creating stickers using AI

Meta has introduced its AI Studio platform, which allows businesses to create AI chatbots for its messaging services, including Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. The platform will empower companies to develop AIs that align with their brand's values and enhance customer service experiences, with a focus on e-commerce and customer support.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced generative AI stickers for Meta's messaging apps such as Instagram. Users can quickly create unique AI stickers tailored to their chats by typing in descriptions. This feature, which will initially be available to English-language users, will roll out over the next month.

Meta is also introducing AI image editing features called "restyle" and "backdrop" to Instagram in the U.S. These features enable users to transform images and co-create AI-generated images with friends, allowing for various visual styles and background changes. To ensure transparency, AI-generated images will be marked to distinguish them from human-generated content, and Meta is experimenting with visible and invisible markers.
